Update: It appears that the best homemade dive restaurant in San Antonio may be done. The owner sadly passed away a few weeks ago and it looks like the location may not open again.

Great food, small so might have a wait, but worth it. Very inexpensive.

This place, well what can i say....it small and reminds of visiting my Tia's and grandma's house but its very very welcoming and delicious. Great portions, great flavor, great service and GREAT COOKS. It feels like mi buelita(grandma) is in the back preparing everything especially the waitress whom never writes down your order but ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS gets it right!! I even tried to place a difficult order once but nope she was on fire. So if you're on the West Side of S.A. stop by and grab a taco or 6. You will NOT be disappointed.

Aside from the food always being great, everyone working there was always very nice. We really hoped someone would carry on the excellence but it’s looking like It will not reopen. Too bad. The owner was always smiling and friendly.
