I am in san Antonio twice a month and I go there just for the fish. .I mean it is excellent..you have to try it...I mean the neighborhood is not all that, but if you love good fish then you better go to Greenwood bar and grill...:
This is a dive bar – just to be clear up front. But some of us enjoy dive bars, and I am reviewing this with “dive bar” in mind. I attended the same EPIC event with friends that Carol mentioned in her review. Beer was cheap, and drinks were strong. It’s not a very large place, but they have a couple of pool tables off to one side, a small dance floor, room for a DJ, a decent sized bar to sit at and several tables that groups can sit at. The owner and the other ladies working there were awesome and welcoming. And the final thing that a dive bar MUST have is very interesting clientele. Greenwoods DEFINITELY delivered on that. There were a couple of interesting things witnessed on that EPIC evening!
A decent Lil spot to get away. Nothing fancy..not elegant..no valet parking..no flashing dance floor..no fancy decor--just a spot a few people go (predominantly Black) to drink, shoot pool on the one table mingle. Laid back atmosphere.
For my first visit in three years, I had a wonderful experience. The staff were still very friendly, and it felt great to reconnect with many familiar faces. I really missed spending time with my friends. I had been going through a tough time, dealing with a significant loss and illness, but I'm slowly finding my way back into this beautiful world. Life is too short to isolate ourselves, and I’m grateful for every moment, always thanking God for the chance to enjoy it.
