Kosta's Greek Food - San Antonio

The love and attention that goes into all the food here is evident in the fresh and flavorful dishes. They even sell their salad dressing and tzatziki sauce, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, we were on the road and couldn't buy any, but we made sure to take home some pitas with tzatziki sauce and hummus after our meal. We ordered a gyro and a chicken souvlaki sandwich. The gyro was flavorful, but the chicken souvlaki was the best Mediterranean chicken I've ever tasted. We can't wait to find a reason to come back to this area. Kostas is an absolute must-try! Oh, and don't forget the baklava—it's fantastic!

I was a bit unsure when I saw the renovations and the change in ownership, but the gentleman at the counter assured me that the food and prices would remain just as good as before. While the prices are indeed very reasonable, I found the food to be quite different – and in a fantastic way! It exceeded my expectations and was among the freshest and most delicious Greek meals I've ever enjoyed. They are definitely on the right track, and I hope they continue to offer their amazing cuisine to San Antonio for many more years to come!

This place is absolutely amazing! I ordered a gyro, while my wife tried the lamb chop plate. After moving from Houston to San Antonio, I really missed authentic Greek food, and this did not disappoint. I could happily eat here five times a week. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is fresh with lean, perfectly cooked meat. I would give them six stars if I could! If you're looking for a great meal, look no further. I'll definitely be returning soon!

It was so cute here! The woman at the counter was so sweet! My husband and I tried this for lunch since we had no kids. However We I did notice they have chicken Nuggets and other options for kids which is nice. We both got the special which is an all day special, Gyro, fries or salad and a can soda for $8.99. We also got hummus as an appetizer and it was the best hummus I've ever had. So fresh! Everything was decently priced. We also had Baklava that was delicious also. Not too sweet. We'll definitely be back!

Under new ownership. This has made a great difference in the quality of the food. The owner shared that he buys fresh ingredients and never bulk items. He pays attention to the quality and it shows in great flavor I tasted. I've been frequenting this restaurant for years and this has been the best management so far.Food: 5/5
