Leon Springs Bbq The Original Rudy's

I enjoyed visiting this iconic bbq restaurant and having enjoyed eating much more. the bark meat breeze was amazing and the staff was friendly. will come back when they visit Texas again

It has been a year since we ate at the rudy in leon springs. decided to treat my family to a special eating by getting the bbq from here. I would like to say that the most impressive thing at the location was their customer service. the customer service and the desire to have the right on the customers was excellent. that was delicious. brisket was tender and very tasty. the turkey always needs a favorite of my children, and again they loved it. many thanks for a great experience and look forward to my next visit here.

On my last trip to Texas we stopped at the original rudy’s and it was a great experience. the bbq is on point as well as the sides. I love the old fashion refueling feeling as this has become a chain that I am happy that they keep this one original. that's a must when they're in the opposite.

We have been loyal customers for years and have always loved this place. However, something seems to have changed recently. Last night, the brisket was good, but the ham was tough, and the coleslaw tasted like it might have started to spoil. Have they changed their recipes? In addition to the tough chewing, the chicken had a different flavor, and the sauce was sweeter and less spicy than it used to be. Even the side dishes were lackluster. We're past the pandemic now, and I really hope the restaurant can return to its former glory with creative dishes, along with those large salt and pepper shakers and toothpicks at the tables.

The quality has declined while the prices have increased. Strangely, the company-owned locations are far inferior to the franchise ones. At this point, I really believe that the hour-long drive to Lockhart, TX is absolutely worth it!
