Little Woodrow's Babcock - San Antonio

I’ve been visiting this place since 1604, and although I’ve had some ups and downs, I wanted to give it a chance to impress me again, especially since I’m eager to see how it’s changed. While they don’t have turtle races on Thursdays, the atmosphere is still enjoyable. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends, play some outdoor games, and have conversations. The other venue is a lot of fun, with a lively party vibe and racing events, but sometimes it can be too noisy to really connect with someone. The quality of food was good, and the staff was friendly. Plus, it’s conveniently located near home. I’ll definitely be back!

This place was formerly my favorite place and the service here was exquisite service on the terrace is another story because it went down the hill. Previously, there was a guest and wasn't long ago, invited a friend because I knew how it was placed, but we were so disappointed. bartenders make an amazing job as always, but the waiters on the terrace do not even try. we have often asked that someone serves us, but the waitresses could not be interested in anything and always say they send someone away. waited for almost half an hour, but no one showed up. served in cash and in less than one minute. management must do something about it because they are already customers. these 2 stars only to direct the attention of the administration to check the service on the terrace. when they come here, they just go and get their own drink at the bar and don't forget to show some appreciation for the bartenders who really works hard.

Good food and drinks and not overcrowded on a Friday night. they have games that they can play and many tvs to see the sport games. the possibility of interior or exterior seats was beautiful and the staff was super cool. will be back.

I don't visit this restaurant frequently, but the staff is always friendly and attentive. I keep coming back because the atmosphere is vibrant and fun! The service was outstanding, and the bartenders, Lucy, Camille, and Sarah, were amazing! Even though they were extremely busy, they remained incredibly attentive.

Twenty minutes later, half of our food arrived: a quesadilla with chips and salsa. We asked for a cup of water, and upon receiving it, we noticed that the rim had old lipstick and tajín on it. When we pointed out the dirty glass, the bartender didn't apologize and acted like it was a common issue. Twenty minutes after that, she passed by and realized the other half of our order was still missing. She brought it out 30 seconds later because it had been sitting in the window. We received our sandwich and fried pickles, which were unsurprisingly cold. After that, she never checked in on us, so we had to flag her down to ask for our check. Again, she disappeared, and we had to ask another bartender for it. When we finally received the check, we noticed that she hadn’t substituted the queso for salsa as we had requested. When I brought this up, she said it didn't matter because both items were the same price. However, the menu clearly states that queso is $8 and salsa is $5. She claimed the menu was wrong and that they had recently changed it, but if there was a change, she should have communicated that. As people who work in the service industry, we understand that mistakes happen. However, the lack of effort, service, and communication made for a very disappointing experience. It felt as though she didn’t care about serving us at all.
