Melendez Mexican - San Antonio

Every time I visit this restaurant, I have had different experiences. The last two times I have been here, they have messed up my takeout order twice! The first time, they gave me the wrong order completely. The second time, they didn't even take my order off so I didn't receive any food. The prices are great, but with constant issues like this, it makes me not want to come back again.

We ordered machacado tacos and they were NOT good, the meat wasnt shredded beef it was pieces of pork that had a spoiled taste, the tortillas were soggy and wet and falling apart. This is the second chance, i will not return. Good luck! Christians is much better should have stayed with what we know is consistently good.

The chicharron ranchero was served lukewarm (probably microwaved). I ordered the large menudo, but it only had a few pieces of meat and the white corn was still hard. The dish was mostly liquid for the price. It was my first visit, and will also be my last. The long drive was not worth the disappointing experience.

I loved dining at this restaurant and receiving such friendly service. I went almost every day for 3 weeks, until I started working on the other side of the city. I really enjoy this place!

I have been coming to this place for years. I don't think I've ever had something I didn't like, any poor quality food, the staff is always friendly and and somebody's always cleaning or staying busy. I love this place!
