The food at this place is super delicious. I work a few doors down, how I didn't know about this place is beyond me. I had the A Ok sandwich Wow ! You better have an appetite because it is huge and delicious. The macaroni and greens absolutely delicious and oh, the soul roles, Yum! Last but not least was the dessert, Strawberry Cake was mouth watering This place is moderately priced and so worth every penny. Great service too! I will be ordering food from here at least once a week. Good food made from scratch with lotsa love

This is one of those restaurants where, even if you arrive late and just ask, "What's left?", you'll find that it's still some of the best food you've had in a while.

I was covering an office on Walzem and decided to check out Home Cooked Love. As a southerner, I expect chicken fried food and gravy to be just right. What I found was beyond my expectations. The Chicken Fried Steak, macaroni, and black-eyed peas were spot on, and I truly felt it in my heart and stomach. The cornbread was moist and buttery, perfectly complementing the uniquely amazing gravy that seemed to melt away the day's troubles. The atmosphere was friendly and warm, making it feel like a visit with family. I can't wait to try the meatloaf next time I'm here!

I love the food here. It is such a happy place for me. Not gonna lie. If it was closer to my hs i would probably put on some pounds. I love the chicken froed chicken, collared greens, sweet potatoes and that corn bread.
