Piatti San Antonio

It had been many years since my last visit, so I was eager to return. The atmosphere and service were excellent, but the menu and food didn't quite live up to my expectations. The menu was somewhat limited, and the dishes felt more akin to fast food, even though they were freshly prepared and served piping hot. I wouldn’t say the food was bad, but it wasn’t what I had hoped for on this visit.

I’m really disappointed that the old Piatti’s is no longer around. The food was truly terrible. We ordered some basic items like salads and chicken dishes, but half of our order arrived cold and was not even worth eating. They've changed the interior to a high-top bar style, which didn't add to the experience. The service was painfully slow and felt awkward. To make matters worse, the bathroom had a serious sewer issue and smelled awful. At this point, they might as well be Hooters, only without the waitresses. It’s such a shame that the old Piatti’s is completely gone. I won’t be returning.

This is a great restaurant, although it leans towards the pricier side. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. They offer a wide selection of wines. While the service was a bit slow, our waitress was outstanding. The food was delicious!

Mari and Jess were amazing start to finish! Truly a wonderful birthday dinner for my mom. And the additional detail to adding “Happy Birthday” to the menu made it all perfect.

Ron was amazing and the food was delicious as always.
