Southerleigh Haute South - San Antonio

We had reservations for 4. The table was ready when we arrived but it was a small table for four adults. Service was great and waitress was very helpful. Food was just ok. My shrimp boil was overcooked and didn't have much flavor. The fried chicken was good. Fried shrimp was just ok. Probably won't go back.

I hate to write this because I think the manager really tried to make things right. But, the service was terrible. They took a long time to take drink orders (even skipped half of the table), and food order. They were out of wine and wine glasses. We finally found a more expensive wine and they brought out champagne flutes (it was funny). Brought out only half the appetizers, and were VERY late with the food. Half the folks enjoyed their food (fried chicken seemed good) and the others didn’t. My fried shrimp was TINY. Service was slow with ordering additional drinks and water. The manager came over and tried to help. She could tell it wasn’t great. Some food tasted good but it was too expensive for that kind of service. Too bad. I wanted it to be a place we go back to.

Terrible service, bland food, over-priced, a total waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere...

That was our first time to eat here. we enjoy eating sourhern. I hadn't expected a menu where everything was fried, including the cookies! I wounded the rotisserie huhn with mac and bee it was good, but I could not eat more than two bits of the biscuit.

The first time for us in haute south and it was great! our server was incredible-knowing, personal, patient with us newbies, and made great recommendations. the grilled oysters she recommended were the best I had (I prefer normally raw) and these honey biscuits were life changes. they also try the Margarita flight. overall an excellent experience.
