My favorite was the Mac cheese and dressing. They get so many dishes, deserts, salads, and they have mimoses! I will definitely come back when I visit SA and tell my friends I try it out.
The OX TAILS! My wife and I sung to brunch yesterday 11/13/2022. First of all, I would like to tell you about the kindness we have received. Our server Sunny was very friendly, attentive and polite. The OX tails were impressive, I wanted to go back for seconds, but their food was too much for me to ignore. The fish was delicious, the asparagus was cooked to perfection, the bacon was thick, and the red potatoes soft and delicate. The jazz band that was played was extraordinary, the saxophonist was immaculate and the young lady who joined them for a song while we brought me to tears when she began to sing. We look forward to our next visit. If you weren't, go now!
I visited San Antonio and went to this place for Sunday brunch. The food was absolutely amazing. Brunch is cafeteria buffet style with an option for endless mimosas. There was also a live band with great song selection. It was pretty busy, but the service was still excellent.
Ox Tails. I This is just pot roast also I WRONG... was amazing. Fried Chicken: I Fried Chicken is roasted chicken also I don't know what they marinated or blow this chicken in, but it's the most judicious chicken I think I've ever had. ... The catfish was probably the thing I was looking forward to most, which was delicious, but I actually enjoyed the other dishes better.... All pages are great. Collard greens macaroni and cheese roasted okra. My wife loved fried cabbage... There's nothing I had, that wasn't great.... Server was also great... thanks Andrea. Very helpful
My fiance and I are both from near the Louisiana border and we could never find food in San Antonio that was anything like back home. Tony G's definitely fit the bill. We both got fried chicken with black-eyed peas, collard greens, fried cabbage, Mac and cheese and corn bread. Everything was amazing. Fried chicken had the perfect flavor and crunch. Most everything was seasoned well. Usually when you find fried cabbage it's over cooked but this was perfect with a bit of a crunch. The cornbread was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Our server Sunny was also amazing. She knew exactly when to come to the table, and she kept us stocked despite being busy. It's definitely worth the 30 minute drive to come back and eat here for our soul food fix.
