The place is very cozy and the wines (we had a lot of 7 to try) are really good if not perfect. The winery is in the list of the Chilean wineries TOP-15, definitely deserved. My special thanks to Thomas, who was very welcome, knowledgeable, could answer any question and even expand his answer much wider than expected, which was appreciated by our family. Good luck for you, people, and hope to see you soon!
Recommend this wine tasting and minitour! This is one of my favorite tastings I have made and have made Napa, Mendoza, etc. We toured with Thomas, who was outstanding – extremely knowledgeable and responsive. The speed of tasting is perfect and we appreciate the short 15 minutes tour, which was a refreshing change of speed over longer. We loved the Doble wine! Top-notch experience. Don't miss this one!
... We were here because our son and his bride (our new daughter) had decided to host their wedding reception here! The route and format of the events that take place here, when the bridal couple choose it, was wine pairing, a tour of the winery with an insight into how the process of wine making then unfolds the three-course lunch also in the line wine and food pairing. It is always soothing when you arrive at a place where the main gate is manned, it makes an explanation as it was here. The plots are very clean, neat and pleasantly laid garden work on the edges around the main building and with some old worn push cars give it a cool rustic look. We met outside our host a very pleasant and hip young lady (so I'm sorry I don't have her name) fluent in English, the fast-lii explained the program then leads us through the main reception area of the Bodegas RE sold center and shop Take the stairs down to the basement where the wine cellars are and randomly where the reception is to take place now. This was a total surprise especially for the bridal couple, as the original plan was to have lunch at the restaurant on the wine road, but that was changed as a larger group got the restaurant reserved for them. Our group was just a party of 16 people, and when we climbed down the stairs a fantastic sensational royal surprise greeted us before, was a beautiful table with a welcome note of the bride and groom and to the left was a nifty nook simply big enough to our group and the most beautiful Lii set-out. The cellar is very large with barrels that are packed on one side from floor to ceiling, we went to the back where there are large floor-shaped sound tanks and here a table are used as mirrors for speeches and toast. We were all served with a glass bodegas RE champagne a beef-emmanada, chicken served on a spit and also a very refreshing fruit-alad cocktail in a glass bowl. After the speeches they set a table with bread, olives, biltong and cheese and served us a white and also a red wine to combine with what was served on the table. The champagne and the wines we had were of a high standard and sat very eas-ii on the palate. After that we were taken to the wine-growing tour, which was an absolute educational cascade. We learn how the winemakers on this estate the owner and his son are not the rules how wine is made, but experiment and try to derive various processes, different tastes and results with different types of wooden barrels. Even their liqueur production is sometimes very unique with the fruit in the bottle. Once again, our host was very competent and knowledgeable in all processes and explained it most clearly. So far it was time for our late evening! There was freshly baked bread, served with olive oil, a priawn cocktail as a starter and a glass of refreshing white wine. The main meal was very simple potatoes and a thick piece of delicate beef that had been roasted in its own juices for several hours. Served with a glass of red wine. Very pleasant! The dessert was a cream broth the insidious-lii delicious Brulee, which we have every taste, extremely-lii cream-ii and the sugar coated crust was only hard enough to be pierced without much effort. This was also served with a white wine. Our day and visit here ended when we all enjoyed a piece of wedding cake and a cup of coffee. The staff who manage this whole matter here must praise for their excellence! Our encounter with Bodegas Re staff and what we have experienced here will always be indelible in our minds!.
Very small and special vineyard with crazy combination of wines. They produce only 20k bottles per year with a complete own style. In addition to wine, they also make liqueurs that mix them with fruit for 3 to 5 years. One has to see when you're close. They also use the old clay pots to fertilize the fresh grapes.
Beautiful vineyard with a very unique selection of wines that offer blends that can't be found anywhere else.
