Pulperia La Lechuza

We wanted to eat here, but the restaurant opened at 9:30 and we couldn't wait so long. Lucky for us the next day, Sunday, they were open for lunch, so we finally had to eat there. The place was full, but we were there during the National Gaucho Festival, so the statement was probably inevitable. My friend had the chicken breast with lemon and I had Gnocchi. The food was very good. We also had a very friendly waitress.

This is one of the best restaurants I visited in Argentina. The Asado was amazing and it was fun to see how they actually cook as we could see the grill from our table. The room was really nice on the river or you could eat inside if you want. I think it's only open weekends. All about the meal was delicious, especially the potatoes and the meeting. What I didn't like is that they at least 10 dogs roam monks the tables on the terrace and ask for food. It is not hygienic or pleasant. I recommend that you actually eat inside instead of outside if you want to avoid the dogs. Someone has to do something about it. Otherwise it is a nice restaurant with great food.

The best place in town for a real asado de campo. Beef al Asador cooked very slowly on a wood fire. We ate in open air, tables in the garden, good service, excellent food.

If you have a ride in Areco, you must have lunch in La Lechuza. Excellent and traditional city barbecue. This place is used to be a familiar place, so the family began to prepare good meat and it is today a well-known place to have a good barbecue. It is run through the park and you will notice a delicious meat odor on the grill. The place is quite simple and with rustic design. Tip: During the night you can enjoy the show we call it Peña here in Argentina. You need to make reservations for the night, not for lunch.

Highly recommended on nights they have live music we went Saturday night). Food was good but the main reason to go is the music and dancing which the locals/ regulars embrace enthusiastically. Definitely recommended but make sure to book a table it will be packed on music nights.
