Sushi Raw - San Bruno

I recommend making a reservation before your visit, as you may have to wait up to 1.5 hours for a table otherwise. The sushi was fresh and delicious, with none of the fishy taste that you sometimes find in other sushi restaurants. I'll let my photos speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Firstly, a couple arrived significantly later than we did (despite our having made a reservation) and were seated immediately after us, even though there were others waiting. They appeared to have a close relationship with the staff and the sushi chef. It didn't bother me at first, but I became uneasy when the servers catered to them first and their sushi was served exceptionally quickly. This made me feel like the staff were a bit dismissive and didn't appreciate all their customers equally. Secondly, the staff seemed to be rushing us out even though we wanted to order additional food.

I had an excellent experience with great service that was incredibly attentive on a Friday evening around 5 PM. Everything we ordered was exceptionally fresh and delicious. The highlight was definitely the omakase, followed closely by the California rolls. I’ll likely order the same dishes again next time!

I had one of the best sushi experiences in quite a while. Don't let the charming, cozy atmosphere fool you; the sushi and sashimi here are outstanding. The hamachi kama was a generous portion, warm, and full of flavor for $12.50. The medium sashimi, priced at $40, was worth every penny; it was a fantastic portion and so tender and fresh. I also tried the seared chu toro with uni for $15 from the specials board, and it was perfectly seared and exceptionally fresh. The service was very attentive. I will definitely be returning regularly!

This restaurant offers a wide selection of fresh sushi that is sure to please. You won't be disappointed with any of their delicious dishes. They've also recently added ramen to their menu!
