It's not really my style; it has a Tex-Mex flavor due to the mixture of salad and guacamole, which I didn't enjoy at all—I'd rate it only 2/10. The guacamole could use more lime juice and salt. On a positive note, the rice, beans, and meat were all delicious, earning an 8/10. The chorizo burrito is spicy and comes with salsa de árbol, which is fantastic. The regular asada burrito is also amazing—definitely an 11/10!
The best fish tacos I had in California outside San Diego.
Carnitas was my favorite dish. The Al Pastor is tasty, but if you don't enjoy very spicy flavors, I recommend asking for it without the standard red sauce. There's a menu item available only on weekends that is quite large, but I found it a bit bland and wouldn't order it again. They have been in business for decades, which is impressive. However, the storefront can easily be overlooked if you're not specifically searching for it. Also, the restroom for customers is quite small.
Great little restaurant rocking your classic Mexican favorites. Food comes out fast, cooked well and perfectly seasoned. It's not clean eating and every table has a full stock of napkins for you to work down. There's a sauce and chip bar on the side, next to the restroom. Seating is limited, so try to keep groups small. Loved their tripe tacos
I've came to El Charrito a couple times now, and everything has been amazing! I had their wet burrito and torta, and both were delicious. They also have a good selection of breakfast as well. The employees are all very friendly and serve your meal in no time. I highly recommend checking out El Charrito!
