After eating the last night in her steak house on the street, we thought we would try her pasta in a lower budget. So we went there and had to wait, of course, as we arrived at 9:00. Only paper napkins again! We ordered a pasta dish for 2, as we heard that they served large portions. Right! I ordered the pasta with the additional Fungi sauce (of course extra). Do you have creamy sauce, but with only 2-3 mushrooms and very little sauce (Really? Especially if I have to pay for the sauce). So, and about 5 minutes later, the manager comes by and says what do you want? I saw the amount of sauce and mushrooms? She looks at it and pretends to be normal. I say I want more sauce and more mushrooms, especially since I paid extra for it. She says okay and brings me a HEALTH part of both. No excuses or recognition! But okay, at least I paid for it. Well... the food was delicious, BUT....some of the mushrooms were either overcooked or undercooked, or just Stale...not safe... but not pleasant! Great atmosphere... but this kind of thing should not be acceptable in such a place!
We waited a lot to sit even though there are many tables available. There are only 2 waiters all over the place, because the service was unacceptable. We had no glasses or napkins and the cutlery was dirty. It was a terrible experience.
Unlike her steakhouse cousin, this restaurant has a very casual feeling. We found the food good and service was okay. It has been fun to take a break from the Parrillas for one night and enjoy some comfort food.
I went here with my girlfriend. We took two different kind of pastas with sauce. It is a good portion and the pastas are fresh. But the taste is quite bland. Nice for a quick and cheap lunch.
This restaurant was super close to our hotel, and we were completely obsessed with the main Alberto restaurant just across the street, so we tried El Boliche de Alberto Pasta for lunch (twice). It's definitely a very popular lunch spot and the service is quite slow (even if you don't have to wait for a table. The pastas are good and made fresh. In my opinion, the stuffed gnocchis are the best pasta on the menu. Overall, if you are craving pasta, this is the place to go, just don't head there on a time crunch!
