We had a lot of fun making everything especially the pasta. We then had the 4 course meal we made in a cute private room, with their wine from the castle (which was lovely). The castle is gorgeous. Great event, recommend
We had an amazing dinner in the nice and elegant courtyard. Everything from the amuse-bouche on the house, first and main course to the dessert were absolutely fantastic. Creative and dedicated kitchen. Great knowledge about wines and splendid service. Prices very good for this kind of meal. Our best meal in Tuscany so far and we are dedicated foodies.
Lovely place, only this deserves the visit. friendly staff, well prepared dishes and quality. excellent pigeons and cheeks, a little under the expectations of the dumplings. we will return with the beautiful season to get a lunch on the terrace.
The knight is the restaurant of the gull castle that is a hotel and winery located in a splendid castle of the xix century immersed in the vineyards and olive groves of the hills of the chianti of mercatale valley of weighed. He's been dressing up for a few days. In fact, from the fervent and creative mind of the ridge, which has an ultra thirty-year experience in the food and wine industry of chiantigiana, the new team room, the new kitchen brigade and consequently the new menu was born. the room team, co-ordinated impeccably by dean with his experience and courtesy, is based on the freshness of sophy and francesco. the kitchen is led by the young and talented chef nearco boninsegni assisted validly by bouquets and gorea falciai. the interesting menu offered draws inspiration from the different experiences that however are skillfully channelled by the hams on the traces of gozzi and the flavors of authentic Tuscanness even if re-proposed in modern key. among all the valid proposals a particular mention must certainly be made to Mr. pigeon one of the battle horses of the "horse ridge" already at the time of his stay of the chianti and the first tavern of passignano. the culinary route ends in sweetness with the creations of the chef pastries valentina yesterday. well structured the wine card ranging from those produced from the castle of the seagull to other interesting Tuscan, national and international proposals. excellent value for money.
My niece recommended here as she had worked as a chef at a 1 star Michelin with many staff members some 14 years ago. We were a party of 8 and greeted by the manager Dean and his staff of Sofia, Franceso, Coso, Nearco and Silvia took care of our set multiple course ,small portion lunch, complete with matching wines from the Gabbiano vineyard where they are located. We liked it so much that we bought a gift cert. for my sister and her 2 daughters to come here soon for dinner. Lovely setting!
