Arrivederci - San Diego

I will skeptical when I first went to this place for Italian food, but this is one of the rare occasions I was pleasantly surprised on how good their food is. I have been here on more than one occasion and the consistency on how good their food is very good. I'm also big on service and it was not lacking in that either! I can definitely recommend this place.

Arrivederci is the type of place that might get a neighborhood gem or bib gourmand . We eat here regularly. Last night, my wife I shared the artichoke appetizer FOUR large artichoke hearts with stems, cooked in olive oil lemon with garlic herbs. We always take two home. We followed with chicken arrabiata ,a red sauce seafood, and a glass of wine each. As usual, the mains just had that extra something. Last time, I had ravioli with ricotta and spinach, and it was just delicious. Service was prompt very friendly. Wines by the glass are always good, never great. Our bill appetizer, 2 mains, 2 glasses of wine was $92 before tip.

My favorite restaurant in San Diego, period.Nice staff, freshly baked bread, huge varieties of pasta/risotto selections, simply classic family-owned Italian restaurants.Food: 5/5
