Crab Hut - San Diego

Food is good. Service...not soo good. They force a 18% gratuity fee!!! Even if service is terrible. It's suppose to go to workers. Its not the customers fault that crabhut is paying you scraps. Everything in the menu is extremely expensive so it does not justify adding the gratuity fee.

This was my first visit, and I can confidently say it won't be my last. The restaurant was clean and had a welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and helpful staff. Our server was great at guiding us through the menu and providing recommendations. The food was outstanding! We opted for the garlic butter sauce instead of something spicier since it needed to be kid-friendly, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. I also tried the house Cajun as a side, and it was packed with flavor. I'm not generally a fan of cornbread, but theirs was surprisingly delicious. The only downside was the limited parking; I suggest finding a spot on the street. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

We absolutely love this place! It's one of our top dining spots in San Diego. Without a doubt, they have the best crab boil in the city.

The experience wasn't quite as enjoyable as I remembered. I ordered the crawfish, but they were a bit dry; thankfully the sauce helped improve the dish. I'm not sure if it was just my serving, but it wasn't fantastic. The cornbread was decent, though the garlic bread was better. The seafood pasta was delicious, but I’d recommend sharing it as a side dish. Also, a word of caution: don't order the mild option if you can't handle spice! Two of my friends had a tough time with it! xD

I come here about once or twice every month and I'm always satisfied with the food and service
