Hachi Ramen - San Diego

After trying the Tan Tan, this place has completely spoiled me for ramen! I live in Antique Row, where there are two other ramen spots within a mile of my home. However, whenever I’m asked where I want to get ramen, my answer these days is always, "I want the Tan Tan from Hachi Ramen!" I adore the unique creamy texture on top of the ramen, and the flavor is simply phenomenal! I usually add a soft-boiled egg for an extra indulgence. I do want to explore other items on the menu, but I don’t think I’ll get the chance until I grow tired of the Tan Tan!

Delicious ramen! The service was excellent. My only complaint is that the wine pour was just about 4 ounces. It would be great if they could pour the standard minimum of 6-7 ounces, especially since it costs $9 a glass. I barely had a couple of sips of my drink. The 5-star rating is for the food, but I'd be even happier if they could enhance their drink service.

This restaurant serves excellent ramen and has a cozy atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend checking it out!

It was our first time at Hachi Ramen and both of us really enjoyed the meal. I had a bite of my husband Roasted Duck with thin Ramen noodles with added black garlic oil. The duck breast meat was perfectly cooked, flavorful and tender. I had the Seafood Ramen with the thicker ramen noodles , Hokkaido scallops, shrimp and corn. The broth on both bowls was perfectly seasoned, and delicious. We both said that we will return to order the others Ramen bowl next time. We shared the pickles appetizer and it was very tasty too. Definitely recommend and will return.

One of my favorite restaurants to eat at when I’m in town from LA. Service is excellent and food is always on point. Definitely need to go back soon!
