Kakawa Coffee - San Diego

This charming neighborhood coffee shop in Point Loma serves a selection of coffee and specialty drinks, along with quick bites and even some merchandise. The barista was welcoming, and while seating is somewhat limited, the atmosphere is still pleasant for a quick visit or a chat with a friend.

I've never been a fan of overly sweet coffees, but this place offers a unique experience where you can taste the coffee along with various spices and additions. I tried their seasonal pumpkin pie latte, and it was warm, comforting, and absolutely delicious! You really can't make a bad choice here. I highly recommend visiting! I'll definitely be returning. Plus, the staff and owners are incredibly friendly, and you can see how much they care about their craft and their customers.

My only suggestion would be to change the music selection. The club and dance music felt out of place in a coffee shop atmosphere. It would be more enjoyable for customers, especially those who come to work or study, as I noticed several people reading and working while I was there. A more mellow playlist would better suit the vibe.

Although almost all their lattes taste somehow different, I really like them! The coffee is strong and good. I always get a latte, so many places put too much milk or maybe their espresso isn't that good. Kakawa latte is always strong, sweet(if you need), and simply tasty.

Truly enjoyed the quality coffee of Kakawa’s coffee shop. Plus the excellent and lovely service of the staff. Highly recommend it .
