Kappa Sushi - San Diego

The service at this restaurant is excellent and they offer a wide variety of dishes. I highly recommend trying the lobster claw sushi and the agedashi tofu.

While we did dine around the busiest time (6:30 to 7:00pm , it was very loud in the establishment. We ordered the Tempura Udon (Yummy! , Rainbow Roll, Caterpillar Roll (VERY sweet , and Spicy Scallop. I'm not sure how else to describe the texture, but the rolls were very wet compared to other sushi locations. The scallop roll was also oily. Service was spectacular. Staff is very nice and are kind towards special requests. Overall, it was a nice evening. But we'll likely return when it's not super busy.

This is a good place with some different vegan sushi elements (including Natto). The quality of the food is high, and they bring a lot of wasabi to your table. Although not all vegetarian items are vegan on the menu, they will stop when you are getting something vegan made. The staff is friendly. However, you could use some more vegetarian / vegan main courses. This place can be overcrowded at peak times.
