Was there last week for a family event. The was good. But not great. The Sushi was very disappointing. The sushi was not very fresh. They put this sweet syrup sauce on the sushi. I was also disappointed that they do not have shrimp tempura. Not sure why, but none of asian buffet's have shrimp tempura. I really miss the days when the original Onami restaurant was still around.Parking: parking
When i arrived, there was a lot of people and we had to wait 1.5 hours. the place was pretty crowded. the food was good but the green tea matcha ice cream did not taste like green tea.
My husband and I planned a birthday celebration for our baby. Aaron did an amazing job of helping us plan and he was so understanding accommodating to all of our needs. John was very clear when we signed the contract and was very accommodating as well. Tina and the rest of the staff were so patient and helpful the day of the party. Not only is the staff excellent with their service, but the food is amazing and a great atmosphere to host a big party (with an awesome discount if you pay in cash), plenty of space and outlets to use if needed. We appreciate Natsumi and their staff so much!
My biggest problem with Natsumi is the cleanliness, or lack thereof. The place smells off . As if it has been open since the '70s and food and grime has been infused into everything since then. I suspect that the chairs were too time consuming to clean, so they cover them with cloth chair covers to make it easier to just gather them all up and send them to the laundry. It also doesn 't help that the ice cream is right at a 6 year old 's mouth/nose height so they can breathe/cough/sneeze right into the tubs of ice cream. As for the sushi, it is sub-par. The rice is dry and the fish has been sitting raw for too long under the light. If you are starving and need to stuff yourself for $30+, then this is the place for you. But if you like sushi, your money is best spent elsewhere.
