I called in to order takeout. The lady on the phone was very friendly and didn’t rush me even though I could hear in the background that they were very busy. I ordered the Point Loma added sausage (next time I’ll add cheese and remove the scallops), gnocchi tricolore (scallops were perfectly tender, the sauce was strong and the mushrooms and scallops were so delicious), and the tiramisu (standard, not the best nor the worst I’ve had, I would have preferred more of the coffee flavor in the lady fingers). All in all, everything was great. I would have preferred cheese on the Point Loma and opted to not have the clams as I found the clam flavor to be overpowering. The nice thing about this restaurant is its great value, quality of food and service is great for the price, especially compared to the Italian restaurants in Little Italy. From the previous reviews, people recommended takeout and I don’t regret that decision. There were a lot of families and large parties and it can get quite loud in here.
We had four pasta dishes: rigatoni, penne, tortellini, and orecchiette.....everyone loved them.....the rigatoni al forno sauce was very very good....the house chianti was good as well. Enjoyed everthing.
This was a nice place. I enjoyed the pizza, but slightly undercooked. I'd consider going back
