Consistent sandwiches with good bread and fresh toppings, at least once a week.
First, I want to clarify that this review is focused on the franchise owner and not the staff or service. I've been visiting this location more frequently since I've moved closer, but for the past couple of months, it's been swelteringly hot inside due to a broken air conditioning unit. It's hard to believe that the owner is too frugal to hire someone to fix the AC, opting instead to buy a fan for the employees to use while they prepare sandwiches. This is completely unacceptable—it's almost August, and these hardworking women continue to endure uncomfortable conditions because of the owner's lack of concern. The staff at the counter are always polite, and they make great sandwiches. I will gladly update my review to five stars as soon as the owner steps up, stops being cheap, and gets the air conditioning fixed.
The owner does a poor job of training their staff, as I've noticed that several employees have struggled to make the sandwiches correctly. Additionally, not all menu items are available; some types of bread and vegetables are out of stock, and the drink fridge is half-empty. To make matters worse, there wasn't a single cookie available. Overall, management's performance leaves much to be desired.
The franchise owner should be ashamed to run this establishment like a sweatshop. The air conditioning has either been shut off or has been broken for months. Today, the thermostat near the back entrance, next to an open door, registered 91 degrees. I can't fathom why the employees haven't walked away from this challenging environment.
