Despite this, she still insisted that we couldn’t dine in and suggested that we order takeout and wait outside. This is a complete violation of the ADA law. As a disabled veteran with a service dog, I've never experienced being denied service before. I returned on a different day, hoping to discuss this with the manager. A different waitress said she would ask him to come and speak with me. I saw her talking to a man who looked at me with disdain. When she returned, she informed me that the manager said he was unavailable. I won't be returning to this restaurant again!
I arrived at the restaurant at 2:30 PM and noticed that there were only two other small tables occupied, both of which had already placed their orders and received their food. It took 20 minutes for our server to come and take our order and bring us drinks after we signaled that we were ready. Now, it's 3:30 PM, and we still haven't received any food or appetizers. The sushi chef was just standing at the counter, and we had placed simple, small orders. When the sushi finally arrived, it was good, but given that there were no other diners ordering, it shouldn't have taken over 40 minutes to get any food on the table.
The sushi was some of the best I've ever tasted—full of flavor and incredibly fresh. The service was excellent, though it wasn't the fastest; our order of seven rolls and three sides took about 30 minutes to prepare.
Sushi Hana is no longer the brand and quality it use to be. From the phone not working for 20+ minutes to the website being almost unusable. The sushi and food has gone down hill along with the staff and customer service.
Horrible service in the last many visits. I used to be there because it's just a few minutes walk from home. I was hoping the service would improve when I saw a new waitress. But she actually refused to enter me and my friend because of my service friend and told us to go. The Sous cook recognized me from previous visits tried to intervene and said the new waitress it is ok and said I always go with my service dog and it has never been a problem. However, she refused to deny us and then tell us we can simply command to go and wait outside. This is a complete disregard for ADA law. It is the first for me to be denied as a disabled veteran with a service dog. I went back on another day hoping that I could bring this to the manager. It was another waitress this time and she said she would ask him to talk to me. I saw her talking to a man who turned around and hooked me up. The waitress came back and said that she was told by him that he was not available. I'm not giving them any business anymore!
