My daughter and I actually set this afternoon to try out the famous Filipino Ube icecream from Coney Island Creamery, and we weren 't dissappointed. The area is elevated and lots of parking. Sandy, nice, kind and attentive lady came out to bring us in the Creamery coz they were having their refridgerators repaired. Anyway, it 's not a place where you sit down and eat your icecream. As you walk in, there 's a desk and a mini freezer box where you can choose your icecream. It 's an office and the work space is in the back. They sell by the pint, tub, gallon or 5 gallon bucket(? . We ordered Ube (purple yam , eskape, maiz con queso, and complimentary red velvet. They have other authentic flavors and some are seasonal like the mango, avocado, strawberies. Their ube is not the powdered stuff that you get from other stores but they use the real deal, the ube root. Really delicious and creamy and it 's so good it makes you glad that you bought it from there! We actually finished the tub of ube and maiz con queso in one sitting. It 's that good. For a different experience, you should try their icecream and it is very affordable. A couple of lesser than the price at other stores. Better to get it right from where the icecream is born, lol! Their red velvet was also awesome! Not too sweet. If you have any suggestions or other special flavor ideas, they are open for that or any recommendations. Just call ahead or order online to make things easier. I highly recommend Ube and Maiz con Queso was my families favorite. Now that I know there 's a Filipino creamery closeby, no need for me to go all the way to West Covina at Seafood city, coz by the time we get back to San Dimas, the icecream will be all mushy and melted. If you crave for something that 's seasonal, make sure that it 's on season. Next time I go, I 'm going to ask if they can make persimmon or cherrimoya flavors!!
The area was a little misleading, we thought this was an actual ice cream parlor... BUT thank god we called because they sell ice cream by the pint. Lady answered and was super sweet. They have ube ice cream which is super hard to find, especially in this area. She even gave us a free sample of their seasonal flavor.. still can 't figure out what it is, but by god is so freaking delicious! We will definitely be coming back. The kids can 't stop asking for the purpo ice cream! Lol
Their ice cream is delicious. I buy them from Seafood City market. The flavor is spot on, creamier version of dirty ice cream from a sorbetero pushing his cart on the streets where I grew up. Queso is yummy and so is Mango. Yet to try all their flavors. I can’t wait to have ice cream every time after dinner. It takes me back home remembering Mamang sorbetero scooping ice cream to a sugar cone. Just hoping they stock their ice cream all the Asian markets I go to like 99 ranch, H-Mart and Mitzuwa.
This is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant! The ice cream here is delicious, with some really unique flavors. The Ube flavor is particularly amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent customer service. We were just passing through on vacation, but we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. We absolutely adored this place.
