Dickey's Barbecue Pit - San Francisc

I had the absolute worst delivery experience ever with Dickey's Barbecue Pit. We placed a large order for a party 24 hours in advance, but as guests were starting to arrive the next day, we received a cancellation notice. This threw us into a panic. After spending an hour on the phone with the actually helpful DoorDash support, we discovered that the restaurant listed was not the actual Dickey's Barbecue Pit in San Francisco, but a delivery-only kitchen that was unresponsive and had a disconnected phone number. It was an enormous waste of everyone's time and caused my wife and me a lot of stress. Dickey's needs to get it together!

I decided to try this restaurant because I wanted something different, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The pork ribs were inconsistent, being both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. The seasoning they used had an unusual flavor, and the burnt taste overshadowed any other flavors. I chose Texas toast as my bread option, but it turned out to be just a flattened slice of toasted white bread, while the bread rolls were hard and stale. I won’t be returning here anytime soon.

I picked up my meat right on time, but unfortunately, it was cold. I don't have too many complaints, as I'm from Texas, and it was just okay. Not all BBQ is reliable, but it was worth a shot!

The atmosphere at this restaurant was perhaps the worst I've ever encountered. I'm amazed that such a poorly designed space could exist. What a disappointment.

I ordered some sides, but they arrived without any utensils. It seemed like I was expected to eat with my hands. There were no napkins either. Luckily, I’m staying in a hotel and had some towels on hand. To top it all off, the food was cold. Given all the negative reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience as well. Thumbs down.
