Bistro Gambrinus - San Francisco

Nael makes you feel welcomed and is a USF favorite! Bistro serves the best food! My favorite go to is the Buffalo Mac and Cheese! Definitely 10/10 and I recommend coming here for big sports games!

Awesome neighborhood spot. They've got a great selection of European beers on tap (nice break from the usual west coast cast of IPA). While I haven't worked through the whole menu yet, every dish I've tried here has been 10/10 (don't skip the schnitzel). The bartender, Neal, is a friendly guy and a great host.To quote Bourdain: It's an irony-free zone where everything is beautiful and nothing hurts.

Friendly, prompt service with very reasonably priced food and beverages. This was the 2nd time I have ordered the pork schnitzel entree. It was super tasty and the portion was generous. It was served with roasted, (garlicky) potatoes and sauerkraut. I was not disappointed! One of the other appealing features of this neighborhood restaurant/bar is the fact that they have NFL Sunday ticket and they open at 10AM! Unlike every other S.F. bar, they have more than just IPAs on tap. Come support this no frills, local gem!

Tasty onion rings, pesto veggie pizza was a bit too salty but a good crust, smoked hunter's sausage was excellent with tasty pesto potatoes and sauerkraut, and the BBQ burger was juicy and flavorful. Not impressed with the pulled pork mac n cheese the pulled pork was food but the macaroni was overcooked and the cheese sauce was ho hum. Server was personable and prompt.
