Chalos - San Francisco

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food at Chalos! I happened upon this restaurant while arriving early for an interview and decided to grab a coffee and maybe an empanada. The staff was incredibly friendly and suggested I try their latte, which was fantastic. I also decided to try the spicy empanada, which was crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The atmosphere was relaxed with plenty of seating available. I sat at a large table to review my notes, but ended up writing this review instead. If I end up getting the job in the area, I will definitely be a regular at Chalos!

This restaurant serves the best Argentine empanadas in the city. They are the closest you can get to the authentic ones from Argentina. Eating here feels like being back at home.

I tried my first breakfast burrito here and it was amazing. The restaurant is lovely and the coffee tasted great.

We love supporting local small businesses. When I think of Chalos, I am always excited to order a lovely chai latte paired with a crispy warm sugary churro. If I am in a savory mood, I order the empanadas combo. If you do end up getting the churro, highly recommend you eat it there while it's warm and crispy. The staff are always pleasant and nice. There are a few tables where you can enjoy your beverage and pet watch. Lovely cozy neighborhood cafe.
