Grumpy's American Pub - San Francisco

This place is the best in the area. Bartender are always friendly and the food is great. I ordered the French burger that comes with blue cheese and bacon, and asked him about a salad for a Low Carb Keto version and it is definitely recommended DELICIOUS.

This pub has been my work bar for over 20 years! We go down every night and close the joint. The clientele has changed over the years, but it is still one of the best local Barbary Coast bars along with Old Ship Saloon. Recommended food Super Burger (Burger with bacon and a fried egg above)!

This was a great place to sneak into for some lunch while exploring San Francisco. There weren't very many people and we sat down right away. The burgers were delish and cooked just right. The Turkey Pastrami Reuben was incredible too. The was a great beer selection and all 4 that we tasted were perfect. Escape the crowds and enjoy some Grumpy's!

Ordered the pesto burger. Tasted fine and everything seemed to mush together. Basically I mean it was soft each bite. If that is what you like in your burger, then you're at the right place. They have several TVs mounted on the wall with sports playing and bills stuck to the ceiling. It's a fun environment, but I've only been there for lunch.

I ordered the Super burger for lunch. The order included onion rings, but I was served fries (they must have omitted the upgrade as I wasn't charged for it), but they got everything else correct. The Super tasted pretty good, maybe a little greasy... Shortly thereafter, less than a block away, I felt a little unwell... then an impending sense of doom fell over me, and I have had to rush to the restroom ten times so far today. The staff was friendly and beer was good, at least.
