Hops Hominy (tillman Pl)

Our dinner was fantastic! The macaroni and cheese were the best we've ever had among the five of us. The pulled pork, fried chicken, walleye, and pork chop were all outstanding. We also tried the black-eyed pea fritters, which were out of this world. The host and waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The gin and jam cocktail is a must-try! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to dine here again!

The food and the atmosphere were excellent. Our server was friendly, but seemed a bit distant and inattentive. When we inquired about the daily specials, she mentioned there weren't any, and when we asked about the soup of the day, she reacted defensively, stating it wasn't anything special. She also forgot to bring us bread and didn't check on us again, which made us feel a bit overlooked. The table next to us kindly shared their cornbread with us, which was sweet but unnecessary. Don't get me wrong; she was very nice overall, but it felt a bit off. Despite this, I would still recommend the place because the food and setting were fantastic, and I noticed that other servers were more attentive. Enjoy!

The pork sandwich had too much bread and not enough meat. However, the beet salad and cornbread were quite delicious. The service was excellent.

Despite my friends being delayed due to unforeseen traffic, the hostess seated me at my table to wait. The server was knowledgeable and attentive. As always, the food was delicious. Brussel sprouts, fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and the winter risotto....all well prepared and so yummy. It’s why I come back any time I am in the city.

Fried chicken dinner and pulled pork sandwich received rave reviews from my kids; my beet salad with goat cheese croquettes was absolutely delicious, however, the Spring risotto was a disappointment (extremely salty). They likely would have offered me something else had I asked, but vegetarian main dishes are limited so I didn't send it bake. Other positives: we had reservations and were seated on time; service was fast and server attempted to get to know us by making small talk, which was nice. Overall very good meal and experience.
