Jamba - San Francisco

It's a bit pricey, but still worth the cost. I just wish they would reduce the prices a bit.

Jamba Juice has become a go-to spot for me in the city. Their acai bowls and smoothies are healthy and satisfying. Plus, I love that it feels like I'm indulging in a treat every time I place an order here!

I made a quick stop here while in the area, as I was quite thirsty after a long walk. Since I'm not a frequent visitor to Jamba, I wasn't sure what to expect, so I chose one of their Classic Smoothies with strawberries and other fruits. Even though the smoothie was made with real blended fruits, it ended up tasting almost like melted candy. It was so sweet that it overshadowed any fruit flavors in the drink. However, the texture was pleasant, and it was definitely cold and refreshing.

Nothing too much to say about it besides it being direct. The staff member at the register was nice and gave good customer service. She honoured me with a coupon that expired a day late so that was a plus. The waiting time became concerning. The staff who was making the drinks seemed to take it slow and one could tell not much knowledge had been absorbed. When dealing with the cups, juice was just flying everywhere as the lid was a struggle to put. I remember there's a cup shortage. I'm just uncertain about Jamba Juice in general. Got the blue lemonade one, it was good and refreshing but could be thicker.

As a child, I remember I loved Jamba Juice and would frequently have it during elementary school. However, since then my family has stopped going. This week, I thought it would be a good idea to see how the company has evolved over the decades, and I tried a classic that we like, Peach Perfection. Despite the name, this drink was far from perfection. It runs about $10 for a large, which is a sizable smoothie, but the drink is very sour and did not taste good at all. Even though you can see real fruit is being used to make the smoothie, I feel that the adjusted flavoring is poor, which is how we arrive at a drink that does not have any dimensionality other than sourness, which is truly a bummer.
