The Melt 1st Market, Sf - San Francisco

Greasy, undercooked and overpriced fast food. The restroom was the filthiest I’ve used in SF on this 4 day visit (and that’s saying something). Avoid.

The Melt is a very welcoming place. Aim High, our non-profit organization that provides a summer enrichment program for rising 6th-9th grade students, went on a city excursion and a group of our youth were welcomed by David, the store’s manager. He was professional, welcoming and patient as he assisted us and helped a walk-in order for 20 students! Thank you David and The Melt for supporting our community! We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation toward this local business for providing a wonderful experience for the youth. ?

Food was delicious and honestly was addicted to it while we were here in Frisco. The tables were always a little messy every time we came in so we just cleaned them ourselves but all good. The delicious food made up for itFood: 5/5

This was my first time at The Melt.Janeka was amazing! She had high energy and was super helpful offering suggestions on what to order and answering lots of questions. Could tell she loves her job and was having fun. She even gave us directions to a place close by to eat outside upon our request for an open air location to take advantage of the fantastic weather.Ended up ordering a burger with avocado, bacon, caramelized onions and melt sauce with no cheese so also got rid of the “mix” that was referenced on the menu as part of the burger). And, ordered the cookies and cream shake.Burger was fantastic and as others have said, it’s a lot of burger …. You will not be hungry after and may not be able to finish. Sadly, there was cheese on my burger but still 5* because Janeka was great and I ate it anyway.Next time I’ll check before I leave :)Shake was also fantastic. Highly recommend you eat here when in the area.

We came to the Melt to experience the lore. A brief history before we get into rating, the Melt was started by someone we find interesting (it'll dox me so I won't explain more). As tech people, we were enthused by the news on this techy restaurant. Spoiler alert, they haven't seemed to get more advanced since 2011, but it was cool. The one thing they promised was that you won't have to talk to anyone, and that they delivered!Now to the service they have a variety of cheesy meals. I got the classic Grilled Cheese and a snickerdoodle shake. The shame was actually pretty good, and the sandwich was fine but not worth the price. The service was fast, there were free refills, and there was plenty of seating. I don't think I'd come back simply because I'm not really into that nuch cheese but it was great for the cheesey novelty!
