Via Veneto - San Francisco

This restaurant is a San Francisco favorite! The service and food are always wonderful. We have always enjoyed everything everytime!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Hands down the best Italian food I have had! The staff was SO kind and accommodating, and helped us have an incredible experience. I WILL BE BACK!

I was looking for a decent Italian restaurant to enjoy the dishes and experience the atmosphere. Via Veneto turned out to be the one: the variety of Italian dishes in the menu impressed me: there were so many options to explore. So far, I have tried an eggplant with Mozzarella, scaloppine al fughetto, Pollo al marsala and found all dishes delicious. The only challenge for me was to try their dessert menu: antipasti entrée left no space in me to accommodate anything else. The Italian vibe of the place is very attractive, Massimo is a very hospitable host and felt at home there. If you love the Italian cuisine, namely, traditional meals, and are not in a hurry, consider the Via Veneto restaurant in the Pacific Heights.

This is my favorite neighborhood spot, delicious italian food that warms your soul, great atmosphere, and it’s always a pleasure to see a friendly face and chat with Massimo. My favorites: The mussels, clams, and white wine sauce (Cozze E Vongole in Casseruola) Eggplant (involtini di melanzane) The gnocchi alla fiorentina, it is absolutely heavenly Tortellini and Ravioli of the day, they will tell you, always good Petrole sole is a special, always so good Gamberi al vino bianco Steak is also a special of the day too, cooked very well and their veggies served with it have some of the best cooked potatoes I’ve ever had. TLDR; Go here, great food, you’re supporting a neighborhood institution, and everyone is so friendly.
