The orange meat chicken had an amazing aroma and was great for sharing between two people (served with steamed rice on the side). They also had lunch/dinner options for two. We also tried the General Tsao meatless dish for our children. It was a generous portion and our kids loved it. Due to COVID, we couldn't dine in the restaurant, so we found a nearby park and had a picnic outdoors. The food was delicious. Are they known for catering to vegans specifically?
Highly recommended if they have ever loved American Chinese take away (I call it American Chinese because I traveled for a few months around China and eating is completely different from Chinese food in the usa! Of course they serve Asian veggie appetizers and tofu veggie dishes, but what I was most excited about her meatless chicken dishes 52 through
I am not originally from San Francisco, but I was looking for options to satisfy my craving for orange chicken. The restaurant offered a variety of meatless dishes on their menu. The Orange Meat Chicken was packed with delicious flavors and was a generous portion for two people (make sure to order some steamed rice on the side). The General Tsao Meatless Chicken was also a hit with our children, who couldn't get enough of it. Due to Covid, we weren't able to dine in the restaurant, but we found a nearby park where we had a lovely picnic outdoors. The food here is fantastic, especially if you have specific vegan requests.
Highly recommended if you're a fan of American Chinese takeout. I affectionately refer to it as American Chinese because after traveling around China, I can attest that the flavors here are quite different from traditional Chinese cuisine in the USA. While they do offer Asian vegetable appetizers and tofu dishes, what really impressed me were their meatless chicken options (#52 to #56). We tried the General Tsao and Orange/Sesame meatless chicken (#54 and #55), both of which were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and sample the Kung Pao Meatless Chicken. As a vegetarian who hasn't had these childhood favorites in years due to living abroad, this meal was a nostalgic treat. I do wish they offered vegan beef and pork options as well - a meatless Mongolian beef dish would be fantastic! The manager confirmed that the dishes I ordered were vegan, assuring me that they do not contain any animal products. While I'm unsure if all their vegetable dishes are vegan or just vegetarian, the staff is friendly and helpful, so feel free to ask them any questions. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
I use to frequent this place quite regularly before their prices with through the stratosphere I still have a menu when their lunch specials were $6-8 All in all despite fierce competition it's still a good buy but I wish they'd improve their curb appeal
