When we checked in at 10pm, after traveling all day, they gave us a lesser priced room than what I booked. It took over an hr. To get the right room. The breakfast the next day was fine. The dinner was horrible. It is a stop over for tour busses, so when they are in town, expect a long wait for ur food. The place seems to cater to nationals, so very, very little English spoken. Tour director couldn't understand what I wanted. & was going to hook me up with someone who couldn't speak English. Wifi was very poor to non-existent in hotel. I was in room 206. Rooms were very clean, spacious, tired furniture. Housekeeping wouldn't show up till 5pm. The "dipping" pool was very small, right next to parking lot & hotel deliveries. So not very private with all that traffic. When I checked in they charged my CC immediately for 7 days, & when I wanted to leave after 3 days, it took 2 hrs. To get my partial refund. I honestly thought I was going to loose it. Such a hassle. The bar was dark & dingy, bar tender had to look up in his book to fix a martini, that was horrible. I couldn't believe this stay. Have traveled all over the world, & this place takes the cake. Avoid unless u speak fluent Spanish, & don't need their services.
We stayed here for two nights, and enjoyed the room and location immensely, but the food here could definitely be better. We ate breakfast here the second morning and I had the pork tacos, and my wife had the molletes. Both were very basic and lack any real flavor. Even though the service was very attentive, for the high price we expected alot more. If you want a great breakfast head to Luan (slow service but the food is excellent).
Is an elegant hotel in the very center of the city, inside colonial walls with parking inside. One deficiency: They do not serve breakfast on site; We have to go to another hotel nearby (but quite expensive). Or fend for ourselves. And in the city center there are some great chocolate bars and churros vendors.
It is the restaurant of the Hotel Plaza Campeche. Right outside the historic downtown. This is where the elite of Campeche gather. Service with tablecloth, well uniformed waiters, and Splendid food. Not expensive at all.
Good value hotel with spacious comfortable accommodation. Decent WiFi. Excellent strong shower. Perhaps a little dated and the pool is very small. Other than that all good
