Happy Bakery - San Gabriel

This is my favorite bakery; I've been coming here for years. Everything is freshly baked, and the prices are quite reasonable.

The baked goods were amazing! We went there for the pork buns, but everything we tried was delicious!

I love this place! Amazing egg tarts and dim sum. The owners are really nice people too.

Delicious! I visited this restaurant for lunch to indulge in some sweet desserts. I ordered the taro puff pastry, sesame balls, and red bean and green bean bread. The sesame balls were enormous compared to what I usually find at dim sum places or markets. The larger size was a plus, as they were incredibly chewy thanks to the mochi filling. Surprisingly, the filling was green bean instead of red bean, but it was still quite tasty. The taro puff was filled with taro paste, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. Unfortunately, the bread wasn’t a hit—the filling was minimal, and I could still taste the yeast from the dough. I would recommend coming here for the sesame balls and puff pastries, but I'd skip the bread.
