Nothing was really spicy, and nothing had much flavor. The little plate of peanuts and pickled veg that was brought out before our order, was the most spicy thing on the table. I picked the sliced fish dish on their house specialties section of the menu. It turned out to not be a spicy dish. And there were so many bones, it was too much work to eat. We got a duck dish w/ some interesting veg. The duck was chopped into teeny tiny pieces and there was no meat, it was all bone. It was as if they took most of the meat for some other duck dish, then used what’s left for this. Then I tried to concentrate just on the flavor, but lost concentration and can’t remember at all what it tasted like. Frog legs. Ok, can’t fault them for this one. Frog legs are little, so it’s bone and a little bit of frog meat. Napa cabbage: schlopp. Someone ordered the seafood three flavors w/ veg and squares of crispy rice. Bleh. I was able to spy 2 little bay shrimp. All in all: boring. With lots of bones. This is in no way laat jiu wong (chili king).
The server here is really rude, will never go there again. Food is just ok.Food: 2/5
Real spicy food that I crave. The menu has tons of options and photos for each dish to help you choose easier. I loved the fact that food came exactly the way it looked on the menu no more “for illustration purposes only.”Also, long line alerts and they speak Mandarine mainlyFood: 5/5
Their dishes are delicious. But too many people and very noisy. My friends and I need to shout to hear each other. In addition, their waiters are obviously a little less, and they often have to be ask they several times.Food: 5/5
Loved it! Delicious spicy stir fried Hunan dishes. Expect delicious dishes but don't expect much from the service or atmosphere. Expect to wait for seating because this place is popular.I recommend the cauliflower stir fry!Food: 5/5
