I'm not sure if this is accurate, but I think Tasty Dining and Qiwei in Rowland Heights are owned by the same person. The menu, presentation, and overall food experience are strikingly similar! I always order the BEEF dry pot with the ORIGINAL SPICY SAUCE, and I like to add my favorite extras: luncheon meat, wide vermicelli noodles, and mushrooms. A tip: don’t overload on add-ons! Adding more won't give you larger portions; instead, you’ll end up with less of everything else. The pot itself already includes a generous serving of potatoes, cauliflower, celery, and bean sprouts. The only downside at Tasty Dining is that the flavors aren't as bold. Qiwei's dishes have more of a kick—they're richer in flavor and spicier. It’s still delicious, but for Chinese dry pot, the more intense the flavors, the better! Haha!
The flavor here is absolutely outstanding! If you’re craving a pot full of garlicky goodness or a delightful numbing sour kick, this is the spot for you. I've had no issues with the service; the place may be small, but the staff is attentive and quick to notice if you need anything, making it easy to catch their attention.
I can’t believe I had never tried this dry hot pot before—it’s incredible! We ordered beef, tripe, and pork intestine, and it came with a generous amount of vegetables. I could enjoy this every day! The sauce is perfectly balanced; it’s spicy enough to add flavor without numbing your tongue. And the pumpkin dessert? Absolutely delicious! Food: 5/5.
I am a regular customer, and they have done an excellent job every time I've visited.
