Wangjia - San Gabriel

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was the best I've had in a long time— even better than what I had in Shanghai! The atmosphere was delightful, and our server was both funny and attentive.

My friend from Changzhou said it was delicious, and I have to agree—it truly was! This might be the only restaurant in Los Angeles that knows how to make braised pork properly. The owner's son and the waiter share the same unfortunate hairline as me; we could definitely call ourselves the "hairline brothers."

This place is a MUST TRY for authentic Shanghainese cuisine! It’s also VERY affordable, costing around $25 per person after tip. That’s much cheaper than many other Chinese restaurants these days. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!

The braised minced eel in brown sauce is very tasty; I really enjoy it! It has a wonderful aroma.

This restaurant is one of the most traditional Shanghainese establishments, offering an authentic taste of Shanghai.
