Buca Di Beppo Italian - San Jose

Second visit: the service was incredibly fast. We arrived at 12:14, ordered three dishes and one salad, and were home by 1:00! The eggplant dishes are delicious! Just be sure to set aside any concerns about calorie counts: the food is wonderful, with generous portions—just one small size is enough to serve 3-4 people. However, you may want to consider hiring more staff to help reduce the waiting times, which are longer than at other restaurants.

We had an incredible dining experience! Our server, Yolanda, was fantastic—very attentive and personable, making our visit a pure delight. We started with the bruschetta, followed by a Caesar salad and the stuffed shells, paired with some Moscato. Everything was absolutely delicious. Trying the stuffed shells for the first time was definitely the best choice we could have made—they were so good! Just a heads up: the portions are huge, so sharing is a must. My wife and I were able to take home leftovers for the next day, which was great. We can't wait to return for more! Overall, a wonderful food experience.

Great food and a wonderful atmosphere; I would definitely return. The portions are incredibly large, but I’m sure the experience will be even better on my next visit!

We've been here for years. They changed their menu, still tasted good. The old menu was also great. The part is really generous. We used to eat in Buca do Beppo in San Francisco, so we liked Bucas roasted Calamari. The bill was $260 for our party of 10 in SF Buca do Beppo once (in 2014, I believe) and no remains. As far as I remember, her menu didn't change. People may like it that way. In this SJ location we liked the previous menu and the new menu and have always left remains with their generous part. Our party of 9 was there last week and our bill was $159 including taxes. Happy to tip 20% because we don't have to cook the next day. These plates can easily hold at least 6-8lb.

Decent pasta in family-size portions. It's not going to win any awards for food or service, but it works well enough for very large parties. The decor certainly gives everyone something to look at and talk about.
