Drying Shed - San Jose

It's been awhile since we came, and it was better than the last time! There was a party going on at the same time. We came for prime rib on a Saturday and the dining room was not busy and were seated soon after arriving, but glad we didn't have to wait like another steakhouse that had a 2 hour wait to be seated. The kids had a burger and nuggets and steak fries and were satisfied. The little one said the place was beautiful! It was a nice dining experience for the kids. Unfortunately there were out of desserts. The banquet price seems reasonable and maybe we will try to come when they have a special.

I recently had my wedding here at the Drying Shed. I had high hopes that everything was going to go great. Well.....originally we were given a strict schedule about ceremony time, food and clean up. So we made sure to be on time. Well that didn 't really matter because our food was extremely late and on top of that one of our guests got a butter wrapper in the middle of his lasagna!!!! That 's just the beginning. Our family arrived at the venue around 4:30-5:00pm. Now our elderly grandmother just wanted a coke. So the bartender, that we paid for, refused to give her a soda. Ok fine he wasn 't ready? Fair..... so now ceremony is over and guests are thirsty, they try to go to the bar and literally ever drink they tried to order the bartender would rudely say, I don 't know how to make that! Go to the other bar! Why in the heck did I pay for a bartender? So now mind you my guests are being disrespected, the food was late, disgusting and with wrappers in the lasagna! So my guests being denied to drink, there is a liquor store near by so of course they are not going to put their money somewhere, where they are not welcomed! I was absolutely embarrassed! I do not recommend this place for an event. It 's not worth it at all. I truly thought I was going to be able to leave positive things about this place. It really truly upsets me knowing how my guests were treated and my money was wasted to a useless bartender, horrible food and terrible customer service!

Had a sit down late lunch... Supper if you will. I ordered the burger filet mignon ground beef paired with an 805. Also ordered the sautéed mushrooms. Thanks for the superb service AL AND Ed! The setting is amazing dim light and elegant atmosphere. Also has a bar, check it out ASAP! -rving

I've lived in San Jose my entire life, and probably been to this establishment handful of times. The food and service is definitely OK. However, there is an older blond Caucasian woman who tends bar on the weekends. She has the worst customer service and personality. Very rude, non-helpful and must've mistaken me for somebody else. Yesterday, my wife and I made an attempt to enjoy your evening out with friends this woman, then accused me of being confrontational when I would not pay her in cash. Please be aware of this woman I will no longer go to this establishment because of her and I can tell you I'm not the only customer that has felt this way about her. Unfortunately I feel I'm the only one that's speaking up. I do hope someone sees this and addresses the situation with her.
