El Agave - San Jose

The guacamole is made fresh and can be customized. The service is friendly. The fish tacos and burritos are excellent.

I ordered the vegetarian fajitas, and they were flavorful and colorful. The hot sizzling plate came with rice, black beans, guacamole, sour cream, and a mild pico de gallo on the side.

We were initially drawn to this restaurant because of its wide selection of vegetarian dishes, but unfortunately, we found the flavors to be lacking. However, our opinion changed when we decided to try the chicken dishes.

Located in a modest shopping center, El Amigos boasts a fantastic outdoor patio that welcomes diners tired of delivery services and disposable tableware. The pleasant South Bay climate in San Jose allowed us to dine as if the pandemic did not exist, aside from wearing our masks upon entry. The extensive menu offered delicious entrees, attentive service, and popular drinks like margaritas and Coke products. Desserts, free chips, and mouth-watering salsa were also available. Prices were reasonable, typically ranging from $12 to $20. We make sure to stop by El Amigos every time we're in town and have never been disappointed.
