Hawaiian Drive Inn - San Jose

I ordered the S6 plate noodles with steak, but there were only a few small pieces of meat. It felt more like a plate of noodles with hardly any steak.

The restaurant is heavily focused on fast food, which doesn’t live up to the reviews I read or the Hawaiian name it carries. Both the bibimbap and musubi were lacking and barely reached average quality.

The first time I dined here for lunch, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious. A few weeks later, my friend and I decided to stop by for takeout, but since it was close to closing time, our experience was completely different. The food seemed like leftovers; it was awful. The chicken was very dry and appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for too long, and the portion sizes were significantly smaller than at lunchtime. I would recommend that if you're planning to eat here, lunchtime is likely the best time to go.

You know what's better than a regular restaurant? This place! The food is like a hug for your taste buds, and the crew is as friendly as your favorite barista. If you're into memorable meals in a relaxed environment, you've found your new hangout.

We got a seafood and bbq chicken combo to share among two people. It was a filling and satisfying dinner for both of us, however, the seafood pieces seemed to have more breading than meat on them. Just beware that the interior of the restaurant is less put together than a neglected fast food restaurant, and the place seems to be more intended for to go orders. 5 stars for the quantity and satisfying nature of the food.
