John's Of Willow Glen - San Jose

I was honestly surprised when I visited this restaurant. The reviews weren't that great and the atmosphere was a mix of a bar and a diner. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, generous portion sizes, and excellent service. I will definitely be coming back here again.

I decided to try a Too Good to Go meal from this restaurant, hoping to finally sample something from a place I frequently pass by. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the experience.

I visited the restaurant for the first time alone the other night and had the Tuscan Ribeye for dinner. It was excellent! I returned this morning and tried another dish...

For the price of the food, can't say we were impressed. Two meals were ordered to-go for dinner; chicken parm plate and steak plate. The chicken parm and sauce lacked flavor and the meat itself was somewhat tough. Didn't really enjoy it. Portion of the side was also on the small side. The steak plate was not much better, the side portion was also small. The staff were very nice though, but it doesn't save the food.

We enjoyed having dinner hear. Food was good and service was friendly
