It also comes with fried corn nuts which give it a nice taste of fat, corn, seaweed, and yam. I wanted more carbs in mymeal but it was definitely interesting and authentic. The lolo pastado, steak and fries, was just okay. I liked how they didnthave too many fries and the fries were larger than usual. The meat was chewy and tough. There were some vegetables but I?d havepreferred more. On top of this it was $19, which doesn?t do it any favors. The chicken and rice was fine.
The Lomo saltado was amazing, perfectly seasoned, nice crunchy oven roasted potatoes and onions, and tender sautéed beef. Great choice if you're not sure what to get, and the staff is nice and helpful to figure out what you might be in the mood for.
As someone who often visits Peru and is married to a Peruvian, I can confidently say that this restaurant does NOT serve authentic Peruvian cuisine. It's comparable to Taco Bell claiming to offer genuine Mexican food. The only truly Peruvian product they have is Inca Cola. The aji served at the McDonald's across the street from Kennedy Park is of better quality than what they offer here. The chafa de pollo I ordered was missing half of its ingredients; it was average at best, but far from representing real Peruvian food. It's time to stop disrespecting Peruvian cuisine and consider changing your name.
The fries are amazing! However, the fish sandwich lacked flavor and was quite small. To be fair, I haven’t tried any other items on the menu yet since I’ve only been there once. I’ll give it another shot since I live nearby.
Delicious ceviche! I've never tried it with tiger's milk before, and it was such a delightful experience. I loved every ingredient in the bowl—everything was so fresh, especially the fish. I wish we had a restaurant like this back home. I've never encountered this style of ceviche before now.
