Noah's New York Bagels - San Jose

I had a frustrating experience at this restaurant. They close unexpectedly on customers, even when they still have bagels available. It’s difficult to describe how unprofessional this behavior is. They shut their doors before the official closing time and even during the middle of the day. I was excited to visit, thinking I wouldn’t have to worry about them closing soon, but they closed right in front of me two hours before their scheduled time on a weekend. It’s incredibly irritating! There were customers waiting outside, including children eager for bagels, but it seems they don’t care about their patrons. Overall, this experience was very disappointing and unprofessional.

I placed a straightforward order for a toasted bagel for pickup, but unfortunately, I received someone else's order instead. They should focus on getting the orders right rather than chatting! It's really frustrating!

This restaurant has a solid reputation, but the staff could use better training. I waited 20 minutes only to find out that my order hadn’t been prepared because they ran out of bagels. It took another 10 minutes for them to make my order. The cashier seemed clueless about what was happening with my order, and when I asked for assistance, I was ignored. Just to note, I placed my order at 10:58 AM and didn’t receive it until 11:29 AM.

Not really what you'd call true New York bagels (contrary to what some would claim), but still offers an above average product menu. Not sure the price-to-value is great, but I used to make some morning stops here on the way to work and if the opportunity presented itself, I would go back.

I know...1 star for all time FAVORITE CHAIN of bagels? Yep and here 's why...1) Every bagel was over done...every single bagel in the case. Since I 'm a Noah 's fan, I know what these should look and taste like. 2) This made the bagels super chewy, but not in a good way...in a these are hard to eat way.2) The toppings all fell off as I was eating the bagels. This has to do with how they are made. I consider the cinnamon sugar a special treat...but 90% of the sugar was left on the paper. And my Everything bagel lacked pizzazz, probably because 50% of that topping fell off.3) In addition to all this, I got half the normal amount of cream cheese on the Everything Bagel. If the bagel were soft and yummy, this really wouldn 't have mattered too much.CUSTOMER SERVICE IS 5 STARS. Folks were friendly and helpful, but Noah 's is a chain, so the on par service simply doesn 't improve the rating for me because I was craving the perfect bagels all morning and didn 't finish what I paid for.Did I come on an off day? Who knows...but the 3 star average suggestions this location isn 't up to Noah 's standards and that someone just doesn 't care enough.
