Peacock Indian Cuisine - San Jose

I've never visited this restaurant for lunch, but I've dined here several times, and it continues to impress me. Everything is fresh and delicious, and the prices are excellent as well. The Naan is also the best I've ever had, so be sure to try some!

It's somewhat uncommon to find a buffet lunch on a Sunday. The food was decent, but it may not satisfy those who are fans of biryani or prefer spicy dishes.

The combo meal, which includes Samosa, Papadam, two entrees (vegetarian for $25.99 or meat for $28.99), rice, garlic naan, and a dessert (either rice pudding or ice cream), offers excellent value and is sufficient to feed three people. Additionally, since February 2017, Yelp has provided a 7% cash back incentive for this restaurant! While the food is worth around 3.5 stars, the service leaves much to be desired.

The food was good. It is a buffet.. Not much overcrowded..13 per person. Not many varieties in the buffet.. Parking is good .. place is visible during normal traffic..

We've been here a few times after our initial visit. The last time we were there, our naan bread was served with hair in it. So clearly cleanliness has taken a backseat. Overall everything has worsened. Also our server could barely speak English and couldn't offer us any clarifications we seeked. The service has deteriorated. The quality and taste of food is also less satisfactory now. This was one of our favorites (see review below). Sad that I can no longer recommend this place to anyone. Original review below: They were one of the very few restaurants open on Christmas Day evening, so very grateful for that! The appetizers (paneer tikka, corn manchurian) are great! Had them made spicy and they were very spicy indeed! And they tasted real good! We ordered Garlic Naan basket for bread and Matter Paneer, Malai Kofta for curries. They were very fresh and tasted great. The naans were very fluffy and soft. Curries tasted authentic Indian! They served hot basmati rice along with the curries again was yum! Service was quick and good. Overall a nice place for dinner!
