Peters' Bakery - San Jose

After they realized the mix-up and apologized for the inconvenience, they managed to provide me with a freshly made cake in just 5 minutes. I was really surprised by how efficient and professional they were in handling the situation. Of course, the cake itself was delicious! The pricing was very reasonable compared to many other cake shops that charge $45 or more for a similar-sized cake. I will definitely return for their cakes!

The restaurant was quite busy with a long line, but the service was quick once we got inside. There isn't a wide variety of pastries—maybe around 10 to 15 types of pastries and cookies—but they are all very delicious. We tried the éclairs, whipped cream apple turnover, chocolate croissant, and lemon crunch, which represented each type of pastry available. My favorite was the lemon crunch. I believe this is the only bakery in the neighborhood, and it's definitely worth a visit!

Burnt Almond is a must-try, especially their Pumpkin Burnt Almond during Thanksgiving. Although there are many delightful pastries on the shelves, I can't speak to their taste since I always get the Burnt Almond—it's the reason this place has thrived for over 85 years. I've been a loyal customer for more than 40 years, and I believe the city should designate this establishment as a landmark. Peter, the cake you made for my son's birthday, which coincided with Thanksgiving, was a true masterpiece—so beautiful that I almost couldn't bring myself to eat it. Almost.

Pretty great spot for some sweet and delicious breads and pastries. Came on a Monday afternoon and grabbed some chocolate cookies (that apparently have leftover donuts and dough in them?! , the tart cake. Amicable and quick response from staff.
