People were up and dancing and it has a great atmosphere. There are some tables indoors and some on the porch and in the tent. Outdoor is the place to be. The cocktails were fairly priced, but only so-so. We got a mule and a margarita and they sorta tasted the same.
At present in half a construction situation is the poor house bistro temporary the poor house patio. the old building was moved to little italy for a late summer reopening. but the good times continue to live! great music. good vibes..Friendly People..oh...and great staff and good cocktails and fresh cold beer. and wein!
What a jewel of a place that took me so long to find this place! to foot from the san jose dridiron caltrain station. ae3some music venue. great food and excellent owners and staff. the first visit was on Friday and I made sure that I went back the next day and after that it was great to go next door to hear the delgado brothers in poor house bistro media
Ordered blackened chicken pasta and jambalaya and their house special soup. The pasta was fantastic, the sauce was not too thick and very tasty. Jambalaya was a little bit dry so it goes well with a drink. Soup was really good and it came with some grill-toasted bread, which meant it had a bit of smoky flavor. Really good jazz outside and sitting was very accommodating for such a small place. Would definitely return!
Not sure why everything is served in takeout containers, but the food is pretty decent and the atmosphere is nice. Lots of interesting menu items, will definitely have to come back again to try them out and also enjoy the live music
